The song had been recorded a few years back. It was already great, but some magic was missing. I added some keyboards and synthies to make it sound more up-to-date. The band loves the new vibe and there you have it! :)

I was asked to mix the Rock im Park live album of the Nordic Walking Punks.
The Band wanted the sound to convey the live experience of their performance. So only minor editing was done.

On march 20th, 2010 we shot the scenes for Emergency Gate's new musicvideo "Point Zero" from their forthcoming studio album The Nemesis Construct.
Producer/Director Udo Simon wanted two cams minimum to capture the vibes of his fast paced, rapid script. I think we did a pretty good job, bearing in mind we had no budget. I love the fighting scene :)
It's an awesome song, so enjoy the video and get the album now! ;)

Meridian Hour is a song from the swedish Band The Unrest.

I got the session files somewhere on the internet - don't actually remember where.
But I loved the song and so I mixed it ;)
Nice song, so here you go.

In 2009 we shot the video for the song Gold and Glass.
Officially I was an assistant - see End Credits of the Video - but it was more like a runner job. The video crew was small, so I did all kinds of necessary work on location - first and foremost technical stuff (camera & lighting setup, timecode...).
The song kicks ass! So turn up your speakers, listen and buy the album :)

I was asked to play the keyboard-parts on this song, because songwriter Udo Simon wasn't satisfied with the sounds they had recorded previously. So I took my gear and went right to the Dreamscape Studios for tracking. Udo was thrilled by the new sounds, so we decided to re-record most of the keyboard-parts. If I recall right, I did all parts but the fast-sweepy-synthie-thingy in prechorus.
The song was released on the album Rewake back in 2009. It just rocks. Go get it! :)
Emergency Gate: Double Suicide
BMC307 was a project I worked on with Udo Simon and Elmar Leicht. It was one of our SAE exams in spring 2007. Back then Udo and I played together in the metalband Moredread. This is when he wrote the song Double Suicide.
It wasn't quite finished, but we decided anyway to record a short version of it, shoot a music video, release the material on DVD and submit the whole thing as our exam.
Sure, it isn't the shiniest production, but hey, it was the first time for us, tracking and mixing a song from scratch.
We had little experience in the studio, so we were quite amazed with the results.
The schedule was pretty tight: Arrangement of the song, drum programming, recording, mixing, mastering, concept for the video, location scouting, videoshoot, editing, artwork, DVD-production and so on had to be done in just two weeks! Teamwork was needed. And that's exactly why I put it on my portfolio. We did a great job and I'm proud of what our team accomplished :)
A few weeks later Mario Lochert from Emergency Gate was impressed by our video on youtube and called Udo.
The rest is history as they say ;). Udo became ECG's new guitarrist and the song got on the album Rewake.
